Job summary

Qualifications

  • Experienced and capable educational leader with a genuine passion for supporting rangatahi.
  • Understands personalised learning, flexible pathways and strengths-based approaches to education.
  • Can build positive, trusting relationships with young people, whānau, staff and community partners.
  • Strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and culturally responsive practice.
  • Leads and supports a dedicated team while maintaining a safe, inclusive learning environment.
  • Has the organisational and management skills to lead day-to-day operations of a busy education centre.
  • Believes every young person deserves educational success regardless of background.

Responsibilities

  • Provide educational, pastoral and operational leadership for the centre.
  • Collaborate with Nayland College, Nelson College for Girls, Nelson College, MoE, Te Kura, whānau and community agencies to support learners.
  • Help ensure every young person can succeed and build positive pathways for their future.
