Job summary

Nelson College in the Tasman/Nelson region is seeking a qualified PE/Health Teacher to join our team starting 28 January 2027. The position covers Health and Physical Education for Secondary students (Year 9–15) and requires a Certificated teacher.

Experience in mentoring students and willingness to be involved in the wider life of the college are essential; strengths in rugby coaching are an advantage for this role.

Qualifications

• Certificated teacher with NZ registration or eligibility.
• Experience teaching Health and Physical Education is preferred.
• Willingness to mentor students and participate in wider college life.

Responsibilities

• Teach Health and Physical Education to Secondary students (Year 9–15).
• Contribute to student mentoring and pastoral care as required.
• Participate in school life and activities beyond teaching responsibilities.
• Rugby coaching ability is an advantage for the role.
