Wellesley Hospital is hiring a Catering Assistant to support the kitchen team in providing nutritious meals and maintaining high hygiene standards. You will report to the Head Chef and help with meal prep, food service, stock management and sanitation in a supportive environment.

The role offers training, development opportunities, and access to benefits through Ely-Vate and other programs.

Qualifications

• COSHH and HACCP knowledge essential.
• Experience in a similar catering role.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist catering staff with meal preparation and cooking per policy.
• Serve meals and beverages to service users, staff and visitors.
• Maintain storage procedures and stock rotation.
• Ensure hygiene standards: clean areas, equipment and surfaces.
• Collaborate with the team including dietitians on planned meals.
