Job summary

Elysium Healthcare is hiring for a catering role at Wellesley Hospital in Wellington to support meal preparation, service and hygiene across a 101-bed facility for mental health needs.

You’ll join a dedicated kitchen team, reporting to the Head Chef, with wide access to training and development opportunities to grow within the organisation.

Qualifications

• Relevant Catering Qualification (Desirable).
• Knowledge of COSHH and HACCP.
• Experience of working within a similar role.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Assisting catering staff with the preparation and cooking of meals in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures.
• Serving service users, staff and visitors with food and beverages.
• Maintaining storage procedures and stock rotation.
• Ensuring that all areas, equipment and furniture are cleaned and stored correctly.
• Part of the catering team to ensure the kitchen meets operational hygiene standards and complies with policies.
• Liaising with dietitians regarding dietary and planned meals.

Reporting to the Head Chef, you'll play an important role in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, supporting meal preparation, food service, stock management and maintaining a safe, hygienic environment. Location: Westpark 26, Chelston, Wellington, Somerset, TA21 9FF You will be working at Wellesley Hospital, a purpose built 101 bed hospital in Wellington (Somerset) for men and women with mental health needs. There are 6 wards for people with mental health needs and 1 ward for people with Learning Disabilities & Autism. The Wellesley Hospital built in 2017 works alongside Devon Partnership NHS Trust, Avon and Wiltshire Foundation Trust, Cornwall Foundation Trust, 2gether Foundation Trust, and Livewell to deliver the best possible environment for patients with mental health issues.
