Pathways in New Zealand is seeking casual Support Workers across the Wairarapa region to provide mental health support and everyday living assistance. The role offers varied shifts and opportunities to gain valuable experience across community mobile, respite, residential, and recovery services.
Applicants may need NZCHW or be studying towards it, hold a valid driver's licence and first aid cert, and be flexible with shifts.

Our casual roles cover leave for permanent Support Workers, providing you with the opportunity to gain valuable experience across a range of our services (community mobile, respite, residential and recovery).
This varied role could see you working on a variety of different tasks:
When working in a respite service you would support guests with medication, provide a listening ear, support on sit activities, maintain a home, cook, clean and host visiting clinical teams.
In our residential services you would be beside the supported person for tasks like appointments, shopping, cleaning and medication.
In our community services you would undertake home based support that includes supporting people with household tasks, attending appointments, grocery shopping taking medication and exercise from home.
The hours of work are irregular and offered when available. We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
