Pathways Wellington is offering casual Support Worker roles across our Wellington-based services, including community mobile, respite, residential and recovery. Earn up to $32.30 per hour with flexible shifts and meaningful experience in mental health support.
You will report to the Team Coach and provide person-centred care, medication support and daily living assistance to people in our services, with training and first aid required. Closing date 5 July 2026.

In some services there may be theoptionfor regular shifts for a fixedperiod of time.
This varied role could see you working on a variety of different tasks:
When working in a respite service you would support guests with medication, provide a listening ear, support on siteactivities,maintaina large home, cook, clean and host visiting clinical teams.
In our residential services you would be beside the supported person for tasks like appointments, shopping,cleaningand medication.
In our community services you would undertake home based support that includes supporting people with household tasks, attending appointments, grocery shopping taking medication and exercise from home.
In our community teams you would visit people in their own homes to support them with a home-based recovery daily living activity, including support with takingmedication, meal planning and preparation, grocery shopping, gardening, householdcleaningand exercise from home.
The hours of work are irregular and offered when available. Weoperate24 hours a day, 7 days a week.Casual employees can work across a range of servicesin threedifferent areasof Wellington. (Miramar/Brooklyn/Central Wellington, Tawa/Porirua/TitahiBay and Kapiti
You’llbe reporting to the Team Coach and joining our Pathways Wellington team who all have the common purpose to support people experiencing mental illness.
You’llhave a caring nature and the ability to work with people from a person-centred approach.You’llalways work in a recovery focused way and have impeccable attention to detail.You will also need to have:
A current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one
Able to be flexible and available for varying shifts
The Level 4 New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent.Or,currently studying towards this qualification or a recognised equivalent.
