Job summary

SGS is seeking a Casual Plant and Terminal Operator to assist with bunker operations for vessels at the Port and to discharge fuel tankers into Oil Industry Terminal tanks. The role includes manual handling up to 25kg and outdoor work in all weather, with flexibility to cover days, nights, weekends and public holidays.

The position is casual with no guaranteed hours, and training with paid progression will be provided. Candidates must have NZ work rights and a current NZ driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to manage your time and work in a busy environment.
• Demonstrated skill in following operating procedures including strict health and safety requirements.
• Knowledge of and previous experience working in the Oil, Gas and Chemical Industry highly advantageous.
• Good verbal communication and able to maintain accurate written records.
• Must hold a current and unrestricted New Zealand Driver's License.
• Pass a drug screening and MOJ process.
• Must have the right to work in New Zealand.
• Ideally based locally due to working hours and the need to be available on short notice.
