Job summary

SGS in Dunedin is seeking a casual Plant and Terminal Operator to join our team on a flexible basis. You will assist with bunker operations for vessels at the Port and discharge fuel tanker cargo into Oil Industry Terminal tanks, working outdoors in all weather.

Flexibility is essential as vessels can arrive day or night, weekdays or weekends. You must be able to handle up to 25 kg, follow safety procedures, and hold a NZ driver’s license.

• Good verbal communication and ability to maintain written records.
• Demonstrated commitment to health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bunker operations for vessels at the Port.
• Discharge fuel from tankers into Oil Industry Terminal tanks.
• Perform other duties as required with the right skills and positive approach.
• Manual handling up to 25 kg and outdoor work in all weather conditions.
• Vessels may arrive at any time; flexibility for days, nights, weekends and public holidays.
