Oranga Tamariki—Ministry for Children seeks a Caregiver Social Worker to recruit, assess and support caregivers providing safe, nurturing homes for tamariki and rangatahi. You will partner with caregivers to deliver tailored resources and guidance across the care journey.

You will travel across Central Otago, Queenstown Lakes and North Otago, hold a Social Work qualification with SWRB registration, and contribute to a supportive team with induction, training and development.

Qualifications

• Hold a Social Work qualification and be registered with SWRB.
• Full registration with NZ Social Worker Registration Board and annual practicing certificate.
• Demonstrated resilience, critical thinking and problem-solving.
• Passion and vision for caregivers and what they need to succeed.
• Good understanding of Oranga Tamariki National Care Standards.

Responsabilités

• Recruit, assess and support caregivers to provide safe, nurturing homes for tamariki and rangatahi.
• Partner with caregivers and whānau or non-whānau to provide tailored support across the care journey.
• Collaborate with other agencies and providers to meet caregiver needs.
• Travel across Central Otago, Queenstown Lakes and North Otago as required.
