Oranga Tamariki—Ministry for Children in Canterbury is seeking a Caregiver Social Worker to partner with our caregivers, help them understand their roles, and build resilient homes for tamariki. You will work with whānau and caregivers, develop tailored strategies, and coordinate with other agencies to meet tamariki needs.

You must hold a Social Work qualification and be registered with SWRB, with a passion for wellbeing, strong relationship skills, and the ability to provide tailored support

Formación

• Must hold a Social Work qualification and be registered with SWRB.
• Demonstrated resilience, critical thinking and problem-solving techniques.
• Excellent relationship management and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Partner closely with caregivers to support their role at each stage of the child’s journey.
• Build relationships with whānau and caregivers, emergency and respite caregivers, and long-term caregivers.
• Develop tailored strategies and coordinate with other agencies to meet tamariki needs.
