Job summary

Summerset Retirement Villages is seeking a compassionate Caregiver at Casebrook Village to help provide safe, supportive daily living for our residents. You will work as part of a team delivering personal care and helping with meals, mobility and daily activities.

Qualifications include a minimum of 4 years' caregiver experience in an aged care facility, dementia care qualifications, and Health and Wellbeing Level 3.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience as a caregiver in aged care facilities
• Dementia care qualifications; Health and Wellbeing Level 3 required
• Strong verbal communication and ability to build lasting relationships

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals and assist with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene and personal care
• Assisting with individual care plans (e.g., walks, exercises)
• Supporting residents' activities (e.g., puzzles, table tennis)

Job Description

As a Caregiver at our Casebrook village, you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical Duties Include

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes


• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering


• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises


• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

Qualifications

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

You’ll Bring With You

• Must have a minimum of 4 years' experience as a Caregiver in an aged care facility


• Dementia care qualifications; Health and Wellbeing Level 3 is required


• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
