Job summary

Located in Thames, Bupa Tararu Care Home is seeking a dedicated Caregiver to support residents in a warm, safe environment. You will assist with mobility, maintain care documentation, and encourage participation in social activities within a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements include a Level 0-4 Caregiving qualification with medication competency, experience in aged care, and strong communication skills. MS Office literacy and NZ work entitlement are essential.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 0-4 Caregiving qualification, with current medication competency and a strong understanding of safe medication practices
• Bring proven experience in aged care or a comparable healthcare environment
• Exhibit genuine passion for supporting the elderly
• Possess confident communication and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Computer literacy across MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Hold legal entitlement to work in New Zealand

Hours & Roster Details:

• Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time
• Hours: Average 32 hours/week
• Shift Time: Night Shift (11p m – 7am)
• Roster Pattern: 4 days on, 2 days off (6-weekly rotating roster across Monday-Sunday)

The purpose of this job

Located in Thames, Bupa Tararu Care Home enjoys a stunning coastal setting with beautiful views across the Firth of Thames. Care options include Rest Home Care, Hospital Care, and Care Suites.

As a Caregiver, you’ll work alongside a supportive team to:

• Assist with mobility in line with individual care plans

• Encourage residents to engage in social activities and community life
• Help create a warm, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and your teammates

What you’ll need to make it possible
