Job summary

Bupa Cambridge is seeking a dedicated Caregiver to support residents at the St Kilda Care Home. You will help with mobility, daily living tasks, and maintaining care records in a friendly, team-based setting.

Eligible candidates hold a Level 0–4 Caregiving qualification with medication competency, and demonstrate genuine passion for elder care. Astructured roster supports work-life balance, with opportunities for learning and development.

Qualifications

• Holds a Level 0–4 Caregiving qualification with current medication competency.
• Proven experience in aged care or similar healthcare environments.
• Demonstrates genuine passion for supporting the elderly and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with mobility and activities of daily living as per care plans.
• Maintain accurate, timely care documentation and records.
• Encourage resident participation in social activities and community life.
• Contribute to a warm, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and staff.

• Employment Type: We have a variety of Permanent Full-Time and Part-Time roles
  • Permanent full time role- Average of 32 hours/week ( Mix of 7am to 1pm and 7am to 3pm shift)
  • Permanent part time role- Average of 29.8/week ( Mix of 7am to 1pm and 5pm to 9pm shift)
  • Permanent part time role- Average of 21.3 hours/week (Mix of 3pm – 11pm and 5pm to 9pm )
  • Permanent part time role- Average of 18.8 hours/week (Mix of 7am to 1pm and 5pm to 9pm )
  • Permanent part time role- Average of 17.6 hours/week (Mix of 7am to 1pm, 3pm – 11pm and 5pm to 9pm )
  • Permanent part time role- Average of 15.8 hours/week- (Mix of 7am to 1pm, 3pm to 9:30pm and 5pm to 9pm)
• Roster Pattern: 4 days on, 2 days off (6-weekly rotating roster across Monday - Sunday)

Located on the northeastern edge of Cambridge, Bupa St Kilda Care Home is a modern, purpose-built care home with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. It provides Rest Home, Hospital, Dementia Care, and Care Suites.

As a Caregiver, you’ll work alongside a supportive team to:

• Assist with mobility in line with individual care plans
• Maintain accurate and timely care documentation
• Encourage residents to engage in social activities and community life
• Help create a warm, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and your teammates

What you’ll needto make it possible

• Hold a Level 0-4 Caregiving qualification, with current medication competency and a strong understanding of safe medication practices
• Bring proven experience in aged care or a comparable healthcare environment
• Exhibit genuine passion for supporting the elderly
• Possess confident communication and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Hold legal entitlement to work in New Zealand
