Job summary

Summerset on the Landing in Kenepuru Head is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to join our village team. You will provide personal care and daily living support to residents, helping with meals, hygiene, mobility, and activities in a warm, respectful environment.

This part-time role offers AM/PM 6-hour shifts on a 4 on 2 off roster, with weekend penalty rates and opportunities to develop qualifications through our supportive employer. Applicants with aged care experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in aged care or similar role.
• Ability to build lasting relationships with residents and families.
• Commitment to a rotational roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts.

Job Description:

As a Caregiver at Summerset on the Landing, our Kenepuru village, you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

This is a Part-Time role, working AM/PM 6 hour shifts on a 4 on 2 off basis.

Qualifications:

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

You’ll bring with you:

• 5+ years of experience in aged care or a similar role
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
• Commitmentto a rotational roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts
• Ability to work a roster pattern of 4 days on and 2 days off
