Job summary

Florence Nightingale Agency in Christchurch is seeking a dynamic, empathetic coordinator to join our permanent, full-time team. The role focuses on coordinating services and rosters while supporting recruitment of care staff for clients across Canterbury.

You will manage referrals, handle calls, load data into our Swish database, organise rosters, and liaise with clients and staff to ensure smooth service delivery in a fast-paced home-based support setting.

Qualifications

• Dynamic and empathetic with experience in a similar or related industry.
• Quick learner with strong attention to detail, able to think creatively and work independently.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to navigate challenging conversations with empathy and professionalism.
• A qualification in Health or related field would be an advantage, along with strong IT proficiency and experience in multi-tasking and prioritising tasks.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing referrals about clients from hospitals/ACC providers.
• Taking calls from people seeking home care assistance.
• Loading data into the Swish database system.
• Organising rosters and matching staff with clients based on needs/skills.
• Updating clients and staff about rosters and services; responding to changes.
• Following up and checking how cares are going, supporting recruitment of new staff in the region.
