Job summary

Boho Cafe in Awapuni, Palmerston North, is seeking a Café Chef or Cook/Baker for permanent roles, full-time or part-time, with a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

You’ll bake cakes, breads and pastries from our recipes, cook short-order items, maintain standards, and contribute ideas for new dishes while keeping food safety and stock control top of mind.

Qualifications

• Passion for food and cooking with energy for a fast-paced service.
• Some experience in cook-to-order, cabinet, baking and/or catering.
• High standards of food quality and presentation.
• Reliability, drive, and ability to work under pressure.
• Team player with good communication skills, flexibility and a positive attitude.

Café Chef / Cook & Baker - Boho Cafe Are you a passionate foodie with a talent for good food and a love for creating exceptional customer experiences?

Boho Cafe is looking for our next Café Chef or Cook/Baker - permanent part time or full time.

This isn't an entry-level role, but we're genuinely open on background — what matters most is that you can move fast, keep up during a rush, and want to get stuck in.

Solid experience or a fast-improving cook ready for more responsibility — either way, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

• Baking cakes, breads and pastries from our recipes
• Cooking short-order menu items and daily specials
• Keeping your section running to standard, on time, every service
• Bringing ideas to the table for new dishes and specials
• Maintaining high food safety standards and assisting with stock control

• Availability for regular rostered shifts including weekends and some early starts
