Job summary

Arvida in Auckland seeks a Cook with Café Experience to join our resident-led communities. You'll prepare and serve café-style meals with care, working alongside a friendly team to create warm, enjoyable dining for residents.

Barista training is ideal; you’ll bring food hygiene excellence, teamwork, and a passion for delivering great food and service. This on-site role offers flexible hours, ongoing training, and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen and/or cafe.
• Exceptional cooking and baking skills.
• Excellent food hygiene practices and a commitment to safe working practices.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Flexibility, adaptability and able to work well under pressure with good time management.
• Empathy towards older adults, good interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Honesty, reliability, and integrity.
• Current NZ Food Safety Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high-quality cafe-style food and beverages.
• Work with a great team to deliver a warm and enjoyable dining experience for residents.
• Maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness in all kitchen areas.
• Contribute creatively to menu ideas and daily specials while adhering to dietary requirements.

We are looking for a passionate and energetic Cook with Café Experience, Barista trained would be ideal to join our fantastic team.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and enjoys creating fresh, delicious food for our amazing residents.

You’ll be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality café-style food, working alongside a great team to deliver a warm and enjoyable dining experience. This is a hands-on role with plenty of interaction, where your passion for food and people will really shine.
