Waitomo Homestead in Waikato is seeking enthusiastic team players for 4 x part-time fixed-term positions. You’ll deliver warm hospitality, prepare food and beverages, and help keep our cafe looking its best. Training is provided, and barista skills are a plus; reliability and a positive attitude are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, friendly service to guests and help create memorable experiences.
• Prepare and serve food and beverages, including coffee, in a café environment.
• Support café operations and maintain attractive displays and service areas.
• Operate the point-of-sale and EFTPOS systems accurately.
• Assist with stock rotation and replenishment to ensure product availability.
• Support food preparation activities as needed while maintaining hygiene standards.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety in all areas.
• Work with a passionate team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Whether you're preparing great coffee, welcoming guests, assisting with food service, or helping keep our facility looking its best, you'll play an important part in creating memorable experiences for visitors from around New Zealand and the world.

What you'll be doing

No two days are the same. You'll help support the day-to-day operation of the Waitomo Homestead by:

• Providing warm, friendly customer service to guests
• Preparing and serving food and beverages
• Making great coffee and supporting café operations
• Maintaining attractive food displays and service areas
• Operating point-of-sale and EFTPOS systems
• Assisting with stock rotation and replenishment
• Supporting food preparation activities
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety
• Working alongside a passionate team to deliver outstanding guest experiences.

You don't need extensive experience. We're looking for people with the right attitude, a willingness to learn, and a genuine passion for hospitality and customer service.

Availability

These are part-time fixed-term positions and applicants must be available to work on a 7-day rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
