Job summary

New World Feilding is seeking a cheerful, keen, physically fit and reliable qualified butcher to join our team. You will work with a committed team and uphold high standards in meat quality and customer service.

Key duties include cutting, trimming, presenting meat, stocking cases, maintaining food safety, stocktaking, and helping customers with a friendly, efficient approach.

Qualifications

• Recognised butchery qualification.
• Technically capable butcher, including sausage making.
• Reliable; you’ll be missed if you’re not here.
• Physically fit; you’ll be on your feet all day.
• Customer service driven; you’ll spend time helping customers.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good work ethic.
• Be able to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Cutting, trimming, preparing, and presenting premium meat products to the highest standard.
• Traying up of meat as required.
• Ensuring meat cases and freezers are appropriately stocked and merchandising standards are maintained at all times.
• Maintaining exceptional food safety and hygiene standards.
• Stocktaking.
• Contributing to a positive team culture.
• Helping customers.
• Cleaning.
• Maintaining Health & Safety and Food Safety standards at all times.

You will be working with a committed and motivated team who pridesthemselves on the quality produce and service we offer our customers here at NewWorld. Standards are high in our butcherywith two of our team achieving top placings at the recent Retail Meat awards.

Your main duties will include:

• Cutting, trimming, preparing, and presenting premium meat products tothe highest standard
• Traying up of meat as required
• Ensuring meat cases and freezers are appropriately stocked and merchandisingstandards are maintained at all times.
• Maintaining exceptional food safety and hygiene standards
• Stocktaking
