Job summary

New World Tawa is seeking a Permanent Butchery Packer to join a busy butchery department. This hands-on role offers on-the-job training with the potential to progress into a Butchery Apprenticeship for the right person.

You will pack, wrap and label meat products, stock displays to a high standard, and maintain food safety while delivering friendly customer service as needed.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; full training provided.
• Experience in supermarket, food handling or butchery would be advantageous.
• Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Packing, wrapping and labelling meat products.
• Stocking and presenting products to a high standard.
• Maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards within the department.
• Assisting with stock rotation and keeping displays well stocked.

Previous supermarket, food handling or butchery experience would be an advantage, but full training will be provided for the right person.
