Job description

Jora New Zealand will close on 9th September 2026. Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey.

We’re looking for a Business Analyst to join our Customer Platforms Technology team and help shape solutions that connect our customers with the stories and sport they love.
In this role, you’ll work from concept through to implementation across customer platforms such as Salesforce, web applications and middleware integrations. You’ll translate business goals, customer needs and product priorities into clear, actionable requirements that are aligned with platform capabilities and architectural standards. You’ll support teams to deliver practical, customer-focused outcomes while giving designers, developers and delivery partners the clarity they need to deliver with confidence.
You’ll be a key connector between Product Owners, stakeholders, delivery teams and external partners, keeping scope, priorities, risks and outcomes visible so everyone can move in the same direction.
As this role engages with stakeholders and team members in both of Sky's Auckland offices, it is important that you'll be able to work across both Auckland CBD and Mt Wellington offices.

  • Partner with Product Owners, platform owners, architects and stakeholders to understand business goals, platform capabilities and strategic priorities.
  • Gather, analyse and validate business needs through workshops, interviews, process mapping and collaborative discovery.
  • Turn requirements into clear epics, features, user stories, functional and non-functional specifications, and acceptance criteria that support effective delivery.
  • Refine and prioritise backlog items with the Product Owner, ensuring assumptions, dependencies, business value and customer impact are clearly understood before development.
  • Act as a trusted link between internal teams and delivery partners, supporting alignment on scope, timelines, quality and deliverables.
  • Review deliverables, coordinate internal user acceptance testing and ensure requirements remain traceable through the delivery lifecycle.
  • Identify risks, issues, gaps and opportunities for improvement, then communicate options and recommendations clearly.
  • Create and maintain useful documentation, including business cases, process flows, training material and stakeholder collateral where needed.

You’ll bring strong business analysis experience, a collaborative mindset and the confidence to work across technology, product and operational teams. You’re curious, practical and customer-focused, with the ability to bring different perspectives together and turn complexity into clear, useful outcomes. Together with this, you’ll have:

  • Strong experience in business analysis or a similar role within digital or technology delivery environments.
  • Proven ability to define and structure business and functional requirements for digital platforms and system integrations.
  • Experience working with customer platforms such as Salesforce, web applications or middleware integrations would be advantageous.
  • Experience with product delivery or project management approaches and tools, including agile, iterative or plan-driven ways of working.
  • Strong process, benefits and analysis skills, with experience using suitable analysis methods and tools such as BPMN.
  • A tech-savvy approach and the judgement to know when specialist input is needed to shape cohesive outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across teams.
  • A positive, solution-focused style, strong personal accountability and a drive to improve outcomes for customers, teams and partners.
  • Free Sky, Sky Sport Now, and Neon
  • A flexible, supportive culture where your ideas matter
  • Great career development with real pathways to grow
  • Discounted Southern Cross health insurance
