Job summary

Recruitmenthub is seeking a Building Control Authority (BCA) Team Leader in Whanganui, New Zealand. You will lead a team of building inspectors, mentor cadets, and provide sound technical guidance to the team and to the public.

You will assess and process building consent applications, interpret relevant building legislation, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with all legislation. A passion for leadership and advancing your career will suit this role; relocation costs are available for

Working within the Building Control Team you will be:

• Leading a team of building inspectors including mentoring of cadets and providing sound technical advice and guidance to the team and to the public.
• Contributing to Building Control Officers training outcomes and reviews of performance of staff under direct or indirect supervision
• Conducting building inspections
• Assessing and processing building consent applications
• Advising and interpreting relevant building legislation
