Job summary

Whanganui District Council is seeking a Building Consent Officer to lead a team of inspectors, mentor cadets and provide practical technical guidance to staff and the public. The role involves conducting inspections, processing consent applications and interpreting building legislation to ensure compliance.

Ideal candidates will hold a Regulation 18 qualification, with National Competency Assessment System experience, audit/review background and strong interpersonal skills to support ongoing
