Job summary

NZ Labour Hire Group in Hamilton, Waikato, is seeking an experienced Builder for a casual role to work across construction projects. You will perform framing, roofing, finishing, and site tasks while maintaining quality and safety.

Ideal candidates have 3-5 years of building experience, knowledge of building codes, ability to read plans, and strong communication with clients and team. A current driver''s licence is required, with flexible hours and ongoing training available.

Qualifications

• Must be a qualified Builder with relevant trade experience.
• Reading and interpreting drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations and best practices.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools and construction equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Current driver''s licence and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Execute a range of building tasks including framing, roofing, finishing, and general construction work.
• Read and interpret blueprints, plans and specifications to ensure accurate completion of projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors and other trades to meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Maintain a safe, tidy and compliant work site following health and safety protocols.
• Provide clear communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle.

This is a casual role, offering the flexibility to work on a variety of construction projects as needed. As a Builder, you will play a vital role in the delivery of high-quality building services to our diverse range of clients.

What you'll be doing

• Executing a range of building tasks, including framing, roofing, finishing, and general construction work
• Reading and interpreting , plans, and specifications to ensure accurate completion of projects
• Collaborating with project managers, subcontractors, and other tradespeople to ensure the timely and efficient completion of projects
• Maintaining a safe and organised work environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols
• Providing exceptional customer service and communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a qualified Builder, with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in the construction industry
• Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction best practices
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical specifications
• Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, as well as construction equipment
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Current Driver's Licence and reliable transportation
