Job summary

Tradestaff New Zealand is seeking a skilled Builder's Labourer for Rotorua to support experienced carpenters on residential and commercial projects. You will work outdoors, handle materials, and help keep sites running smoothly and safely.

You should have construction experience, be comfortable with hand and power tools, physically fit, reliable, and able to take direction from supervisors. A full Class 1 driver’s licence and transport are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting carpenters with framing, cladding and finishing tasks.
• Measuring, cutting, and preparing building materials.

• Site prep, cleanup and material handling.
• Assisting with formwork, boxing and general construction tasks.
• Loading and unloading materials and equipment.
• Following plans and supervisor directions.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

We're looking for an experienced Builder's Labourer in Rotorua. If you have solid construction experience, enjoy working outdoors, and take pride in producing quality work, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

You'll be working alongside qualified builders, assisting with all aspects of construction while helping keep projects running smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting carpenters with framing, cladding, and finishing work
• Measuring, cutting, and preparing building materials
• Using a variety of hand and power tools safely
• Site preparation, clean-up, and material handling
• Assisting with formwork, boxing, and general construction tasks
• Loading and unloading materials and equipment
• Following plans and taking direction from supervisors
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a Builder's Labourer or in general construction
• Confidence using hand and power tools
• Physically fit and capable of manual labour
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
• Ability to work well within a team and take instruction
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Full Class 1 driver's licence and reliable transport
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
