Job summary

Cookes in Tauranga is seeking a motivated Branch Sales and Services professional to strengthen customer engagement and support sales growth. You will work closely with the branch team to deliver quality service across showroom, counter, and online channels, ensuring customer needs are met with accuracy and care.

You'll handle transactions, quotes, and inquiries while maintaining stock control, receiving goods, and safely operating lifting equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing sales roles preferred.
• Ability to manage orders, quotes and provide quality service.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a hands-on environment.

Responsibilities

What you'll be doing

Supporting the branch team to grow sales by providing quality, knowledgeable service to both internal and external customers.

Provide effective showroom counter and telephone and email sales and service ensuring the customers' needs are satisfied.

Processing customer transactions and quotes via email, phone and online store systems.

Ensure that all testing /inspection schedules are maintained and all lifting & safety equipment is delivered on time in line with customer expectations.

Receive goods and accurately pick stock items in accordance with paperwork.

Operate a forklift safely and efficiently to load and unload goods when required.

What we're looking for

A confident and resilient communicator who can push forward with a positive attitude.

Attention to detail and doing things correctly and safely the first time.

An organised person with good administration and stock control skills.

Experience in the Engineering, Forestry or Construction industries is a bonus - but not a dealbreaker. We'll teach you the ropes (literally).
