Job summary

Bluco, a Hamilton-based labour hire business expanding into Auckland, seeks a 12-month fixed-term Business Development Manager / Account Manager. You will win new clients, build relationships and manage accounts—from understanding workforce needs to placements and ongoing service.

You’ll source candidates, ensure compliance, and work closely with the owner to drive Auckland growth. The role offers autonomy and the chance to shape Bluco’s expansion across the city.

Qualifications

• Experience in recruitment, labour hire, business development, account management or a relevant blue-collar industry.
• An established network or client relationships would be a strong advantage.
• Strong relationship builder with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business and build relationships with clients across Auckland's blue-collar sectors.
• Develop and manage new and existing client accounts.
• Identify workforce requirements and provide recruitment and labour hire solutions.
• Source, interview, screen and onboard quality candidates.
• Build and maintain a reliable pool of available workers.
• Match candidates to roles and manage placements from start to finish.
• Manage day-to-day client relationships and ensure service expectations are met.
• Complete worker compliance, licences, tickets, inductions and site requirements before placement.
