Job summary

Rest Float Spa and Wellness Centre in Gisborne is seeking a talented Beauty Therapist to join our growing team. This part-time position offers a chance to deliver a range of beauty and wellness treatments in a serene spa setting.

You will conduct thorough client consultations, maintain high hygiene standards, and help create a relaxing, professional atmosphere while building loyal clients through excellent service.

Qualifications

• Qualified Beauty Therapist or equivalent certification.
• Proven experience as Beauty Therapist in spa/salon/wellness.
• Strong knowledge of beauty treatments and skincare.

Responsibilities

• Provide full body, brazilian and brow waxing, facial treatments, and potentially teeth whitening.
• Conduct client consultations to understand needs and goals.
• Maintain hygiene, cleanliness and sterilisation in all treatment areas.
• Create welcoming, relaxing and professional spa atmosphere.

Rest Float Spa and Wellness Centre is seeking a talented and passionate Beauty Therapist to join our growing team. This is a part-time position based in Gisborne. As a Beauty Therapist, you will deliver exceptional beauty and wellness treatments to our valued clients in a serene and professional spa environment. This role is central to our mission of providing holistic wellbeing experiences and maintaining the high standards that our clients expect and deserve.

Key responsibilities

• Providing a comprehensive range of full body, brazilian and brow waxing treatments, relaxation facial treatments and willing to be trained in teeth-whitening.
• Conducting thorough consultations with clients to understand their needs, skin types and beauty goals, and recommending appropriate treatments
• Maintaining exceptional standards of hygiene, cleanliness and sterilisation in all treatment areas and with all equipment and materials
• Creating a welcoming, relaxing and professional atmosphere that supports client comfort and wellbeing
• Building strong client relationships and encouraging repeat bookings through excellent customer service
• Keeping detailed and accurate client records, including treatment histories and preferences
• Supporting the wider spa team to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment

What we're looking for

• A recognised qualification in Beauty Therapy or equivalent relevant certification from an accredited provider
• Proven experience working as a Beauty Therapist in a professional spa, salon or wellness environment
• Comprehensive knowledge of beauty treatments, skincare products and contraindications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients
• A genuine passion for wellbeing, self-care and helping others feel their best
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and professionalism
• The ability to work flexibly as part of a part-time schedule and adapt to varying client demand
• Current knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to beauty therapy
• A calm, professional demeanour and the ability to create a therapeutic environment
