Job summary

True Line Limited in Auckland is seeking a reliable Bar Attendant to join our welcoming restaurant team. This full-time, permanent role offers a minimum of 35 hours per week and focuses on delivering friendly beverage service with high standards of service and safety.

You will greet customers, prepare and serve beverages, handle payments via the POS, maintain a clean bar area and support the wider team during busy periods. Experience and good communication are valued assets.

Qualifications

  • NZ Register Level 2/3 qualification or higher in hospitality, food and beverage service, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of relevant bar attendant or hospitality experience.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy restaurant environment.
  • A positive, professional and reliable approach to work.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers, take beverage orders and provide friendly and efficient service.
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to customer orders.
  • Pour and serve beer, wine and spirits and prepare basic mixed drinks and cocktails as required.
  • Check customer identification and follow responsible service of alcohol requirements.
  • Provide customers with information about beverages and assist with menu selections.
  • Operate the point-of-sale system and process customer payments accurately.
  • Maintain clean, hygienic and well-organised bar and service areas.
  • Clean and sanitise glassware, bar equipment, utensils and work surfaces.
  • Monitor beverage and bar supply levels and replenish stock as required.
  • Receive, store and rotate beverage supplies in accordance with workplace procedures.
  • Follow food safety, health and safety and hygiene requirements.
  • Assist the wider restaurant team during busy service periods.
  • Handle customer enquiries and resolve service issues professionally.Work efficiently as part of a team to maintain a high standard of customer experience.

We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and customer-focused Bar Attendant to join our hospitality team and contribute to our welcoming and vibrant restaurant environment.

This is a full-time, permanent position with a minimum 35 hrs/week.

What we’re looking for & what we offer:
  • NZ Register Level 2/3 qualification or higher in hospitality, food and beverage service, or a related field; OR
