Job summary

Kiwibank is seeking a Banking Specialist in Wellington to help customers understand their broader financial needs and provide suitable solutions. You will connect with customers, build strong relationships, and work within a supportive, vibrant team environment.

The role emphasizes accuracy, calm communication, and the ability to learn quickly while expanding knowledge of products and processes. Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:30–17:00.

Qualifications

• Banking experience or exposure to the financial services industry.
• Knowledge of lending, with Delegated Lending Authority (DLA) being a strong advantage.
• Confident in learning quickly and building strong knowledge of products and processes.
• Exceptional communication skills and strong attention to detail.
• A proven ability to build sustainable customer relationships.
• Adept at thinking creatively to find solutions that delight customers and getting things right the first time.

In this key role, you'll work as part of our tight-knit and supportive team to help deliver on our ambition to make every Kiwi more financially successful. You'll use your personality and interpersonal style to connect with customers, understand their broader financial needs and goals, and provide appropriate solutions wherever you can.

It's a rewarding role where you'll make a genuine difference for our customers.

The hours are Monday to Friday (08.30 to 17.00), total 40 hours per week.
