Job summary

Foodstuffs NZ is seeking a passionate fixed-term Deli/Bakery Assistant for New World Waimate. The role requires early morning starts and weekend shifts, with potential for extra shifts. You will support food preparation, baking and decorating, packing and presentation while upholding our strict food control program.

A positive attitude, teamwork, reliability and a willingness to learn are essential. Applicants must hold NZ citizenship, NZ Permanent Residency or a valid NZ work permit.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work early mornings and weekends.
• Experience in food prep and bakery preferred.

• Assist deli and bakery prep including decorating.

The hours require early morning starts and a weekend day with potential for additional shifts from time to time.

We are looking for:

• A passion for food and maintaining our strict food control program
• Has a love for baking and decorating
• Good knowledge of cooking, production, packing and presentation
• Strong teamwork, initiative and can work independently.
• Honest, reliable and a positive attitude
• Physically fit (you will be on your feet all day with some heavy lifting)
• A willingness to learn and grow
