Job summary

New World Pioneer is seeking a motivated Service Deli Assistant to join our busy Service Deli team, with a focus on hot food and cooking. You will prepare and cook a range of deli products, ensure cabinets are well stocked, fresh, and appealing throughout the day.

The role suits someone who enjoys food preparation, takes pride in quality, and can work independently while contributing ideas. NZ citizenship or valid NZ work visa is required; experience in deli or hospitality is advantageous.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Service Deli Assistant to join our busy Service Deli team, with a particular focus on our hot food and cooking.

This role would suit someone who is confident in the kitchen, enjoys preparing food, and takes pride in creating quality products for our customers. We are looking for someone who can use their initiative, bring new ideas to the department, and isn't afraid to get stuck in.

About the role

As a Service Deli Assistant, you will have a strong focus on our hot food offering. You'll be involved in preparing and cooking a range of products, ensuring our cabinets are well stocked, fresh and appealing throughout the day.

You'll also:

• Prepare and cook a range of hot food and deli products
• Assist with developing new food ideas and products
• Use your initiative to identify opportunities to improve the department's food offering
• Prepare, present and maintain products to a high standard
• Monitor product quality, freshness and presentation
• Assist with general Service Deli duties and customer service as required
• Follow food safety, hygiene and health & safety requirements
• Work as part of a busy and supportive team

Full-Time Service Deli Assistant hours:

Sunday: 5:00am to 1:30pm

Monday: 5:00am to 1:30pm

Tuesday: 5:00am to 1:30pm

Wednesday: 5:00am to 1:30pm

Thursday 5:00am to 1:30pm
