Job summary

New World Thorndon is seeking a talented cake decorator to design and decorate custom cakes for all occasions, collaborating with the bakery team to ensure high-quality results.

You will discuss preferences with clients, manage multiple projects, and deliver outstanding customer service with attention to hygiene and food safety. This is a full-time role, Tue-Sat, 7:00 am – 3:00 pm.

Qualifications

• Experience decorating cakes for celebrations.
• Ability to manage multiple decorating projects with deadlines.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Our Bakery team is seeking a talented and imaginative cake decorator who is truly passionate about their craft. In this role, you will bring customer visions to life by designing unique cake creations for all occasions, while also contributing to the decoration of our full cake range.

You will collaborate closely with our team to consistently exceed customer expectations. By engaging directly with clients, you will discuss their preferences and ensure every request is fulfilled. We are looking for someone with an eye for detail, strong artistic ability, and excellent time management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Shifts & Availability

This is a Full-time position Tuesday - Saturday, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm (37.5 hours). Remuneration will be discussed during the interview process and will reflect skills and experience.
