Job summary

New World Gate Pa is seeking a motivated individual to join the Bakery Department as a Bakery Assistant with an apprenticeship pathway. You will assist in preparation, packing, and finishing of breads, while supporting daily production and maintaining hygiene standards.

Training will be provided on the job, with potential progression into a formal Bakery Apprenticeship and qualifications. A friendly team environment and employee discount card accompany this opportunity.

Qualifications

• Friendly and helpful customer service is preferred.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Previous food production or hospitality experience is an advantage but not essential.
• Must be able to lift and carry trays.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation, packing, and finishing of a variety of breads and other bakery products.
• Support the bakery team with daily production and presentation of products.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene within the bakery department.
• Provide friendly and helpful customer service, assisting customers with their bakery needs.
• Help ensure bakery displays are well stocked, attractive, and meet New World Gate Pa's high standards.
