PAK'nSAVE Westgate is seeking an experienced Baker to join our busy Bakery Department. You will bring strong dough skills and knowledge of retail bakery operations, while delivering products with a customer‑focused approach and teamwork in mind.

The role requires a Bakery or Culinary qualification, knowledge of Food Safety and Health & Safety standards, and a readiness to work 40 hours weekly (Mon, Tue, Thu, Sun 6:00–14:30). NZ citizen/resident or valid work visa is required.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year experience in a retail or bakery environment.
• A Bakery or Culinary qualification is required.
• Expert product knowledge in bakery items.
• Knowledge of Food Safety and Health & Safety standards and adherence.
• Customer-focused approach and strong teamwork.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Physically fit and strong.

Responsabilités

• Produce a wide range of baked goods including breads, muffins and cakes for customers.
• Meet quality and availability expectations and support cake orders if applicable.
• Maintain bakery hygiene and safety standards and collaborate with the team.

You’ll need to beinnovative, have passion for your profession, sound commercial awareness andunderstand what customers want.

To succeedin this role you will need:

• A minimum of 1 years’ experiencein a retail (ideally supermarket) or Bakery
• A Bakery or Culinary qualificationis required
• Expert product knowledge
• Knowledge of Food Safety andHealth & Safety Standards that apply to a Bakery and demonstratedadherence to these standards
• A customer-focused approach
• Excellent teamwork andcommunication skills
• To be physically fit & strong

The hoursfor this role are:

Monday 6:00 - 14:30

Tuesday 6:00 - 14:30

Thursday 6:00 - 14:30

Sunday 6:00 - 14:30

(40 hours per week)
