Vuthy Yaya Courier Post Limited in Whangarei is seeking a dedicated Baker to join our busy bakery team. You will contribute to dough preparation, fillings, baking, and display of finished goods, with a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency.

Flexibility to work across seven days is required. Ideal candidates will have bakery qualification or at least one year of bakery experience, with attention to detail and a proactive approach.

Qualifications

• Relevant bakery qualification or 1 year of bakery experience.
• Passion for baking, attention to detail, ability to multi-task and be proactive.
• Priority will be given to local NZ residents/citizens.

Responsabilités

• Measure and combine ingredients to make doughs for pies, pastry, bread rolls and other pastry foods.
• Make sweet, savory and special ingredient fillings, sources and toppings.
• Check ingredient quality to meet quality standards.
• Set, adjust and monitor oven temperatures for proper baking times.
• Remove baked pastry from forms, trays, depan and cool finished products.
• Decorate, glaze and adjust display of finished products.
• Test finished products to ensure they meet food safety and quality requirements.
• Clean and restock workstations and sanitize equipment for next shift.
• Check equipment cleanliness and machine operation to ensure health and safety compliance.

Employment type: Full time (guaranteed 30 hours / per week, Monday to Sunday), Permanent

Our pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour depending on personal ability

We are a busy bakery shop based in Whangarei.

To enhance our team, we are now looking for 1 Baker to join our team. We are expecting someone who has a passion for baking, attention to details, ability to multi-task and be a proactive member of the team.

Ideal candidate should have a relevant qualification or 1 year's relevant work experience in bakery. Priority will be given to local NZ residence/citizens.

• Measure and combine ingredients and raw materials using hands/hand tools and other equipment to make doughs for pies, pastry, bread rolls, and other pastry foods.
• Make sweet , savory and special ingredient fillings, sources and toppings.
• Check the quality of the ingredients and the prepared raw materials to make sure quality standard are met
• Set, adjust and monitor oven and other cookware's temperatures to ensure proper baking and cooking time
• Take out the baked pastry from the forms, trays, unloading, de-panning and cooling the finished products
• Decorate, glaze and adjust the display of the finished products
• Test the finished products to ensure that each item meets food safety and quality requirements
• Clean and restock workstations and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift.
• Check the cleanliness of equipment and operation of machines before each run, to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
