Job summary

New World Mosgiel is seeking an early riser to join our Bakery team as a full-time Baker or Bakery Assistant. You will help bake quality bread and a range of smallgoods, working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment with morning shifts.

Reporting to the Bakery Manager, you will contribute to a high-performing team, be prepared to overtime when needed, lift up to 20kg, and bring good communication and presentation to the role.

Qualifications

• A recognised baking qualification is preferred.
• Commercial baking experience producing a variety of baked goods.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Bake and supply a range of bread products and smallgoods.
• Support busy bakery operations and maintain high customer service standards.
• Open to overtime when needed and ensure safety and quality in production.

Job description

We are looking for an early riser who enjoys working in a fast-paced team with excellent customer services skills who is keen to join our busy Bakery team as a full time Baker or Bakery Assistant.

In this role you will be committed to making and baking quality bread products and a range of smallgoods to meet customer demands. Reporting to the Bakery Manager, you will contribute to this high performing team who are customer focussed and motivated.

Hours of work:

Tuesday 4am – 12.30pm

Thursday 4am – 12.30pm

Friday 3am – 11.30am

Saturday 3am – 11.30am

40 hours per week

We are seeking an individual with the following key attributes:

• A recognised baking qualification is preferred
• Commercial baking experience producing a variety of baked goods
• A team player with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills and a high level of personal presentation
• Open minded and enthusiastic and able to work over time when needed
• Able to lift up to 20kg
• The right to live and work in New Zealand
