Job summary

Air New Zealand Limited in Christchurch is seeking a Demand Planner to turn complex data into forward-looking demand forecasts that maximise fleet availability and support aircraft maintenance.

You will partner across Maintenance Planning, Engineering, Production and Supply Planning, translate schedules and historical consumption into actionable plans, and drive continuous improvement with advanced analytics.

Qualifications

• Experience in demand planning, forecasting, supply planning or a similar analytical role.
• Desirable experience in aviation, engineering, maintenance or other complex operations.
• You will apply forecasting principles to intermittent or event-driven demand.
• Strong ability to interpret data and translate insights to planning decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate material demand forecasts to support maintenance and maximise fleet availability.
• Translate schedules, fleet activity, historical consumption and future requirements into forward-looking demand plans using forecasting techniques.
• Partner with Maintenance Planning, Engineering, Production and Supply Planning to identify material risks and mitigation.
• Analyse forecast accuracy, inventory performance and material availability to improve planning outcomes.
• Provide technical demand planning expertise across the Aircraft Availability Tribe and Supply Chain.
• Drive continuous improvement through advanced analytics and data-driven planning practices.
