Job summary

Eagers Automotive in Auckland’s Grey Lynn Service centre is seeking a dedicated Qualified Automotive Technician. You will diagnose and repair mechanical faults, perform routine services, and ensure high safety and quality standards across customer vehicles.

The role offers access to the latest technology, EV training, and opportunities for career progression within the group. A 40‑hour week with potential overtime and ongoing training is provided.

Qualifications

• At least two years' experience as a qualified technician.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults and performing automotive vehicle services.
• WOF certification is preferable, but not a must.
• Full clean New Zealand Driver's Licence and ability to interpret technical specifications/diagrams.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

The successful applicant will be able to display the following attributes:

• At least two years' experience working as a qualified technician
• Demonstrated experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults and performing automotive vehicle services
• WOF certification is preferable, but not a must
• Ability to problem solve, troubleshooting skills and a focus on accuracy and quality
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and diagrams accurately
• Full clean New Zealand Drivers Licence
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Calm under pressure and enjoys a challenge
