Job summary

JOBCORP NZ Ltd in Napier is seeking a qualified Light Automotive Technician to join a busy workshop. The role offers a stable, full-time position with career progression within a franchised dealership.

You will service, diagnose, and repair a wide range of passenger vehicles, perform warranty repairs, and maintain safety and quality standards while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

  • Trade qualification as Light Automotive Technician (or equivalent).
  • Previous franchise dealership experience.
  • Strong diagnostic, repair, and fault-finding skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • Full, valid driver’s licence.
  • Good communication skills and time management.
  • A strong commitment to quality workmanship and customer service.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for automotive technology and ongoing learning.

Responsibilities

  • Servicing, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of passenger vehicles.
  • Carrying out warranty and recall repairs in line with manufacturer guidelines.
  • Ensuring all work complies with health and safety requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate service records and parts documentation.

About the role


As part of a skilled and supportive team, you will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of passenger vehicles while maintaining manufacturer and industry standards.


Your key responsibilities will include:



  • Routine servicing, inspections, and scheduled maintenance

  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults

  • Carrying out warranty and recall repairs in line with manufacturer guidelines
