Job summary

EmployMe Solutions is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician for a busy Tauranga dealership. You will diagnose, service, and repair a range of vehicles to manufacturer standards, and conduct WOFs when required.

The role requires a trade qualification and strong diagnostic abilities, with a focus on quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. You will work in a state-of-the-art workshop with diagnostic equipment and ongoing training, enjoying a supportive team culture and a balanced work‑life

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as an Automotive Technician or similar.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication with customers and team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair vehicles to manufacturer standards.
• Carry out WOF inspections (WOF authority preferred but not essential).
• Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and safety.

Automotive Technician Wanted – Join a Busy Tauranga Dealership!

What is on offer:

• Full-time, permanent position - $36 ph - $38 ph plus

Your Role:

• Diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a range of vehicles to manufacturer standards
• Carrying out WOF inspections (WOF authority preferred but not essential)
• Using diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot complex issues
• Can handle WOFs, servicing, diagnostics, and minor miracles
• Knows their way around scan tools and modern vehicle systems (no, we don’t mean Googling the error code)
• Communicating effectively with service advisors and customers
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety

What You Bring:

• Trade qualification as an Automotive Technician or similar
• Franchise dealership experience in a similar role
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Current full NZ driver’s licence
• A great attitude and commitment to quality service
