About the Role

You will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations, managing a team of service advisors and technicians, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. This leadership role requires a strong understanding of automotive repair, excellent people management skills, and a commitment to driving profitability and efficiency within the department. You will play a critical part in upholding the dealership's reputation for quality service and customer care.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and lead the service department team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure efficient workflow in the service bay, optimizing technician productivity and appointment scheduling.
• Maintain high standards of customer service, addressing customer concerns and ensuring satisfaction with repairs.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase service revenue and profitability, including service promotions and upselling initiatives.
• Control departmental expenses, manage inventory effectively, and ensure proper use of shop supplies and equipment.
• Uphold all dealership policies, safety regulations, and manufacturer standards for service operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Automotive Service Manager or Assistant Service Manager.
• Strong knowledge of automotive repair, diagnostics, and maintenance procedures.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, control costs, and drive sales growth.
• Proficiency with dealership management systems (DMS) and service scheduling software.
