Job summary

Franklin Smith is recruiting for Autoglass Technician roles in Palmerston North. The role focuses on installing and repairing HVAC-related glass systems and supporting projects across New Zealand.

You will join a team with strict safety policies and a need for reliable, reference-able candidates with good references. The position offers minimum 30 hours per week, an hourly rate of 29.00–35.00 NZD, and is permanent Monday to Friday with extra shifts on weekends.

Qualifications

• Assembles, installs, maintains and repairs industrial, commercial, and domestic air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
• Experience in commercial, residential, or industrial installation.
• Work unsupervised and in a team.
• Demonstrate high attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Ensure all activities are conducted safely and in compliance with Franklin Smith policies and relevant legislation.
• Other duties as reasonably required within the capability of the employee’s role may also be required.

About the role

• Minimum 30 hours per week
• Hourly wage ranging from $29.00 - $35.00
• Permanent role - Monday to Friday, with extra shifts available on weekends
• As part of your employment, you may be required to travel to a different region for different projects, including Auckland, Bay of Plenty, Canterbury, Gisborne, Hawkes Bay, Manawatu,Marlborough, Nelson, Northland, Otago, Southland, Taranaki, Waikato, Wellington, and West Coast.
• You will be given reasonable notice if you are required to relocate to another region. Franklin Smith will cover transportation and accommodation expenses related to the relocation.
