Job summary

Franklin Smith seeks multiple experienced HVAC technicians who bring a positive work attitude and solid references. Candidates should have at least three years of full-time HVAC experience and be able to install, maintain and repair various air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

The role is permanent with a minimum of 30 hours per week, pays NZD 29.00 to 35.00 per hour, and may require travel across regions in New Zealand. Relocation support is provided, and safety is a priority.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of full-time HVAC experience.
• Experience across commercial, residential, or industrial installations.
• Able to pass police check and drug test.
• Own set of tools.
• Physically fit for manual labour.
• Sound English communication skills.
• Two contactable references.
• Willing to travel to different NZ regions.

Job description

Looking for multiple experienced HVAC techs who have a good attitude towards work and great references. The successful candidates will have at least three years of full-time HVAC work experience.

About you:

• Assembles, installs, maintains and repairs industrial, commercial, and domestic air conditioning and refrigeration systems and relevant set up and equipment.
• Experience in commercial, residential, or industrial installation
• Work unsupervised and in a team
• Demonstrate high attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
• Ensure all activities are conducted safely and in compliance with Franklin Smith policies and relevant legislation.
• Other duties as reasonably required within the capability of the employee’s role may also be required from time to time.

The ideal candidate will also have:

About the role:

• Hourly wage ranging from $29.00 - $35.00
• Permanent role - Monday to Friday, with extra shifts available on weekends
• As part of your employment, you may be required to travel to a different region for different projects, including Auckland, Bay of Plenty, Canterbury, Gisborne, Hawkes Bay, Manawatu,Marlborough, Nelson, Northland, Otago, Southland, Taranaki, Waikato, Wellington, and West Coast.
• You will be given reasonable notice if you are required to relocate to another region. Franklin Smith will cover transportation and accommodation expenses related to the relocation.
