Job summary

Franklin Smith is seeking multiple experienced HVAC technicians for roles across New Zealand. Successful candidates will have at least three years of full-time HVAC work experience and a strong safety mindset.

Positions are permanent, 30+ hours weekly, with shifts Mon–Fri and possible weekend overtime. Travel to various regions (Auckland, Bay of Plenty, Canterbury, and more) may be required; relocation costs are covered where applicable.

• Assembles, installs, maintains and repairs industrial, commercial, and domestic air conditioning and refrigeration systems and relevant set up and equipment.
• Experience in commercial, residential, or industrial installation
• Work unsupervised and in a team
• Demonstrate high attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
• Ensure all activities are conducted safely and in compliance with Franklin Smith policies and relevant legislation.
• Other duties as reasonably required within the capability of the employee’s role may also be required from time to time.

About the role:

• Minimum 30 hours per week
• Hourly wage ranging from $29.00 - $35.00
• Permanent role - Monday to Friday, with extra shifts available on weekends
• As part of your employment, you may be required to travel to a different region for different projects, including Auckland, Bay of Plenty, Canterbury, Gisborne, Hawkes Bay, Manawatu,Marlborough, Nelson, Northland, Otago, Southland, Taranaki, Waikato, Wellington, and West Coast.
• You will be given reasonable notice if you are required to relocate to another region. Franklin Smith will cover transportation and accommodation expenses related to the relocation.
