Job summary

Parallaxx Limited in Waitakere, New Zealand, is seeking an Associate Consultant on a fixed-term 8-month, full-time basis to develop TMPs and support clients through planning and delivery.

You will work with a team to liaise with RCAs, prepare TMPs, help with tenders, and build strong client relationships while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Three years of TMP design experience or related traffic management design experience.
• CAT A, B and C Non-Practicing qualifications are required to be considered.

Responsibilities

• Develop compliant, practical Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) meeting client and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with clients, RCAs, and stakeholders to develop effective solutions.
• Support tender submissions and long-term project delivery.
• Coordinate on-road TTM services for clients.
• Build strong client relationships through responsive, professional service.
• Contribute ideas for continuous improvement to strengthen services and client experience.

About the Role

Working closely with our consulting team, you'll play a key role in developing compliant traffic management solutions and supporting clients throughout the planning and delivery process.

You will:

• Develop compliant, practical, and detailed Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) that meet client and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with clients, Road Controlling Authorities (RCAs), and other stakeholders to develop effective solutions.
• Support tender submissions and long-term project delivery.
• Coordinate and support on-road TTM services for clients.
• Build strong, long-lasting relationships through responsive and professional client service.
• Work closely with colleagues across the business to ensure a "no surprises" approach to project delivery.
• Contribute ideas and continuous improvement opportunities that help strengthen our services and client experience.

About You

You'll be technically capable, client-focused, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Ideally, you'll have:

• At least 3 years' experience in a TMP design role.
• Minimum CAT A, B and C Non-Practicing qualifications.
• Strong proficiency with Autodesk AutoCAD 2017 or later.
• Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Strong communication and client relationship skills.
• The ability to remain calm under pressure and take initiative.
• A current NZ Driver Licence.

Advantageous

• CAT A, B and C Practicing qualifications.
• TTM Mentor, Trainer or Assessor qualifications.
• Tertiary qualifications in engineering, architecture, design, or a related field.
• Experience with SIDRA Intersection software.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
