Job summary

St John of God Hauora Trust in Christchurch, South Island, is seeking an organised accounting support professional to join the finance team. You will manage AP activities, assist with month-end processes, and contribute to financial reporting and budgeting.

The role supports auditors and drives process improvements across the organisation. Ideal candidates hold a relevant accounting qualification, with experience in AP, reconciliations, and asset management, and a strong eye for detail.

Qualifications

  • A relevant diploma or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Applications are welcomed from recent graduates, as well as candidates with previous accounting or finance experience.
  • Experience with accounts payable, reconciliations, month-end processes, financial reporting, or fixed asset management would be advantageous.
  • Experience using accounting or enterprise software, or the ability to quickly learn new systems.

Providing accurate and timely accounting support, and working closely with the Accountant and General Manager Finance and Services Support, this role is crucial in maintaining effective financial processes, controls, and reporting across the organisation.

In this role you will:
