Job summary

Auckland One Rail (AOR) is seeking an Asset Operations Coordinator to join our Assets team on a fixed-term basis through to early December 2026. Based in Auckland, this role supports facilities and asset maintenance across the rail network, ensuring stations, depots, and facilities operate safely and efficiently.

Reporting to the Stations Delivery Manager, you will coordinate and administer asset and facilities activities, work with contractors and stakeholders, and help drive performance,

Qualifications

  • Experience in facilities management or asset management.
  • Strong reporting and document control skills.
  • Experience supporting audits, compliance activities, or contractor performance management.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
  • Ability to facilitate meetings and drive follow-up actions to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate contractor meetings, prepare agendas, track actions and follow-ups.
  • Support contractor audits, assurance activities and compliance checks.
  • Prepare KPI and performance reports for contractor review meetings.
  • Manage document control processes and maintain records.
  • Coordinate BWOF activities and compliance requirements.
  • Track planned preventative maintenance programmes and contractor performance.
  • Assist with Auckland Transport reporting and stakeholder requests.
  • Manage contractor variations, cost tracking and work completion monitoring.
  • Support station key management processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Liaise with contractors, service providers, Auckland Transport, KiwiRail, and internal teams to support facilities service delivery outcomes.

Asset Operations Coordinator
Fixed-Term Contract (4 Months) | Auckland

Auckland One Rail (AOR) is seeking an Asset Operations Coordinator to join our Assets team on a fixed-term basis through to early December 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery of facilities and asset maintenance services across Auckland's rail network, helping ensure our stations, depots, and facilities operate safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

About Auckland One Rail

Auckland One Rail (AOR) is a joint venture between ComfortDelGro and UGL, responsible for operating Auckland's passenger rail services and maintaining stations, depots, and train fleet assets. Safety, customer service, integrity, respect, and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do.

About the Role

Reporting to the Stations Delivery Manager, you'll provide coordination and administration support across a range of asset and facilities management activities. You'll work closely with contractors, Auckland Transport, KiwiRail, and internal stakeholders to help drive contractor performance, compliance, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Coordinating contractor meetings, preparing agendas, tracking actions, and following up on issues and escalations.
  • Supporting contractor audits, assurance activities, and compliance checks.
  • Preparing KPI and performance reports for contractor review meetings.
  • Managing document control processes and maintaining accurate records.
  • Coordinating Building Warrant of Fitness (BWOF) activities and compliance requirements.
  • Tracking planned preventative maintenance programmes and contractor performance.
  • Assisting with Auckland Transport reporting and stakeholder requests.
  • Managing contractor variations, cost tracking, and work completion monitoring.
  • Supporting station key management processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Liaising with contractors, service providers, Auckland Transport, KiwiRail, and internal teams to support facilities service delivery outcomes.
Requirements
What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment and enjoys keeping multiple workstreams organised and on track.

You’ll ideally have:
  • Experience in facilities management, asset management, contractor coordination, operational administration, maintenance support, or a similar field.
  • Strong reporting, document control, and organisational skills.
  • Experience supporting audits, compliance activities, or contractor performance management.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
  • The confidence to facilitate meetings, monitor actions, and drive follow-up activities to completion.

Experience within rail, transport, infrastructure, property, facilities, or other asset-intensive environments will be highly regarded.
