Auckland One Rail (AOR) operates Auckland's passenger rail services and maintains stations, depots, and rollingstock. As Auckland's rail network continues to evolve and grow, we're looking for a skilled Rollingstock Technician to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of Auckland's passenger rail fleet while gaining valuable experience within a dynamic rail environment.
As a Fixed-Term Rollingstock Technician, you'll play a key role in delivering major improvement programmes across Auckland One Rail's EMU fleet. Working as part of a dedicated project team, you'll carry out planned modification and refurbishment activities that enhance the reliability, safety, and long-term performance of our trains.
You'll be involved in a range of fleet improvement projects and other planned engineering initiatives. When project priorities allow, you'll also support the day-to-day delivery of preventative maintenance activities to help maintain fleet availability.
This role operates Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm, providing a consistent work schedule while supporting the successful delivery of both fleet improvement projects and operational maintenance requirements.
To be considered for this role, you must hold a relevant trade qualification and have at least one year of relevant heavy vehicle, rail, or industrial maintenance experience.
