We’re looking for an Asphalt Quality Assurance Technician to join our Asphalt team in Tauranga. This is a hands-on, site-based role where you’ll help keep our surfacing work on track by owning the detail, from measurements and mix quantities through to QA checks and documentation.
You’ll work closely with our asphalt crews across a mix of projects, helping us deliver high-quality work safely and to a high standard. Day to day, the vibe is down to earth and team focused. Complete pre-job setup, including hazard and control records, paving plans, area measurements, and string and mix quantity calculations.
Record QA measurements for onsite surfacing activities and quantities accurately, including paving, milling and sealing work.
Work alongside production and site teams to identify quality issues and support corrective actions.
Gather site paperwork, complete job summaries and submit QA records on time and in full.
Class 1 Full licence, with WTR endorsement a bonus.
QA experience in civil construction, asphalt, surfacing, or similar testing environments.
Strong calculation skills and confidence working with metric measurements and material quantities.
Good knowledge of surfacing materials and site activities, plus the ability to carry out the inherent requirements of the role.
A proactive, accountable approach with strong communication skills and a low-ego, team-first mindset.
